Sumner School District provides a full array of services for students ages 0-21 years. A knowledgeable staff of professionals are able to both identify and provide services for students regardless of age or disability. A strong belief of Sumner staff is that it is better for students to be with their peers in the general education setting than provide service separate and apart from other students. Consequently, we include students in the general education class to a great degree. We do have programs and classrooms that provide services for those students for whom there is the need for a higher degree of service or a more restrictive setting. In those settings, we still include those students in the general education setting as much as possible.

Sumner School District is committed to making a difference in the lives of its students. We are proud of our staff and the services we deliver. If you would like more information on any part of the services we offer or if you have a student that you suspect may have a disability, contact your local school or call (253) 891-6040. Someone will be able to help you.
