Panther Future Champs Football Camp Grades 3-8
Join BLHS Head Football Coach Chad Barrett, local high school football coaches and University of Washington football players for a fun and exciting week of football. Campers will learn the fundamentals and skills needed to play football and most importantly, the "winning attitude" required to become the best individual and team player possible. Two flag football games will be played each day. Bring or wear tennis shoes or any type of turf shoe with a rubber sole and a water bottle. Includes Panther Championship logo football and T-shirt.

Action Day Camp will be held at the Robert Miller Gym and Daffodil Valley Elementary School starting June 22. Sign up today.
Registration Information 
The Sumner School District is finalizing plans to cut the operating budget by nearly $3 million for the coming school year. As part of this effort we must reduce the $180,000.00 deficit at the pool. This means we must decrease the number of hours the pool is open to the public, effective June 23, 2009.
As you can imagine, this decision has not been an easy one to make. We are proud of the programs we’ve offered to the community, but the cost of current operations has a negative budget impact on school programs. We have tried to reduce hours where there will be limited impact on our patrons.
Public programs will continue to be offered Monday through Friday, beginning daily at 9 a.m. We will continue to offer swim lessons for youth with the first session beginning on June 22, 2009. Private lessons will still be available, as well as time for open swim, lap swim and the popular senior water aerobics program. We will also continue to rent the pool for private events.

Boys Summer Baseball League 2009
Who: Students in grades 3-8 (no 2nd graders - no exceptions)
When: League games will begin the week of June 15. Practices will begin early June. A coaches meeting will be held on June 3 at 6:00 p.m. at the Recreation Office.
Cost: Grades 3/4 and 5/6 $45 Residents/$50 Non-Residents
Grades 7/8 $55 Resident/$60 Non-Residents
Registration fee includes a T-shirt and cap (baseball pants nor catcher's mitts are provided).
If there is room on a team after May 22, a $10 late fee will be applied to your late registration.

Camp Invention is a week long summer day program that fosters creativity, teamwork, and science literacy through hands-on fun for children entering grades one through six. The program features:

Spartan/Panther Basketball Camp - Ages 3 years-7th Grade
The Spartan/Panther camp coaching staff consists of SHS Head Coach Brett McDaniel and BLHS Head Coach John Hofstrand and coaches throughout the Sumner School District. Our coaching staff aims to make sure all campers get the best instruction possible, while having a BLAST! Each camper will learn a variety of skills and techniques. Players from local high schools will be assisting and coaching teams at camp. Our coaches have been trained and work hard to establish positive relationships with our campers. Our goal is to play basketball at the highest level and have a lot of fun playing. Camp includes T-shirt, custom Spartan/Panther basketball and daily awards.
