| State math assessments will now be conducted using the End-of-Course exam, replacing prior state math assessments such as the WASL and High School Proficiency Exam (HSPE). This year’s testing is scheduled for June 2.
All 10th grade students will take one of three math exams in either Algebra, Geometry, or the Year 1 Makeup exam.
Ninth grade students will take one of the three exams, dependent on which math class they are currently enrolled in or have already completed.
Students in 11th and 12th grade will take one of the three exams, unless they have previously passed either the WASL, HSPE, or are choosing the 2 credits of math after 10th grade to meet graduation requirements.
All students will receive notification from the school identifying which exam they will be taking. Please visit the OSPI Web site for more information about the new End-of-Course Exam. |
