School Health Advisory Board Purpose
The School Health Advisory Board (SHAB) promotes coordianted school health by guiding policy, overseeing the PEP grant budget, reviewing data, and developing and sustaining District-Community partnerships.
SHAB meets the 3rd Thursday of the month from 3:30 to 5:30 PM.

Student Health Vision Statements
Student Health Services: When students have a health issue (including discipline for drug, alcohol, or tobacco infractions) they will experience an easily navigated, coordinated system of community-connected services that works to return the whole student to full health by addressing physical, mental, and emotional needs.
Physical Education Programs: Our students will experience a quality physical education program with articulated K-12 curriculum that
1) meets or exceeds the state law and national recommendations for minutes of instruction
2) is taught by highly qualified certificated teachers who exhibit a high level of personal fitness and sound nutrition
3) tracks student fitness progress over time
4) provides nutrition instruction to increase healthy eating habits
5) assesses students based on personal growth in fitness goals as well progress toward nationally recognized performance standards and tests of conceptual knowledge
6) regularly and frequently distributes health information and community recreational opportunities to students and families via print newsletter, list-serve and website
