Community Impact and Unsung Hero Awards

A message from Marilee Hill Anderson ...
It's time to nominate those special folks who have served our children, youth and families for the annual 'Community Impact / Unsung Hero' awards. Those who are selected for this recognition will receive a trophy and restaurant gift certificate, to be presented at our March 27 Communities For Families annual summit.

As the name implies, we are seeking to honor individuals who have contributed to the health and well-being of our community - and who often aren't recognized for their efforts. Most who receive this award give time and talent on an unpaid basis - but we also closely review nominations of those wonderful staff members who go way 'above and beyond' the call of duty in serving our students.

It's a busy time of year and I know we're weary...but I promise you - if you take a few minutes to nominate someone deserving of recognition - YOUR day will be better! Some of the most incredible nominations we've received have come from you. Each nomination will be reviewed by a panel of civic leaders...so even if your person doesn't receive an award, their contributions will be noted. We will also recognize all nominees by displaying their names at our Summit event.

All the instructions you need are on the nomination form, due back to us by Monday, March 3rd. Kathy Henken is coordinating this project for our Communities For Families Coalition. Forms may be emailed directly to her (see instructions on the nomination form) - or - returned to our office.
