From the Principal's Desk
Dear Falcon Families:
Welcome back to a new year. It was exciting to see the awesome turnout for our Open House in September. We are thrilled with the building we are using for the year and thankful for your patience as we work out new systems and routines. There are a few changes I have highlighted below.
Drop Off/Pick Up: This occurs at the front of the school. As you drive into the parking lot there is a sign that points you to the right. Please drive down towards the entrance and at the first speed bump/crosswalk you can drop your student off. When you are picking up, if you'd like to wait in this same line, we will direct the students to your car when you are next in line. Please remember it is not safe for kids to be walking across the parking lot or through cars, so we would prefer your patience at waiting until you are the first or second car. Students are dismissed from class at 3:10 pm. I realize you may be out there at 3:00 pm and it seems like you have been waiting forever, but we utilize every teachable moment, therefore you'll see most of the students come out the door at 3:10 pm or after.
Lunchroom: This is new to us at Victor Falls. We are no longer eating in the classroom; we will be eating in the cafeteria. Important things for you to remember, there is no microwave to heat up lunches. Lunchbags should be clearly marked with students names. Please understand that our lunchrooms are very full.
Our students are off to a great start. Please remember to ask your child about the word Respect. That is our word of the month for September. We are learning how to respect this beautiful new building we have the opportunity to use for one year and we want to leave it as we found it.
We are excited for another great year of learning at Victor Falls. We are truly committed to meeting the needs of each of our students. We want to thank each of you in advance for your support as we both build on the amazing accomplishments of our school and continue to improve the educational experience for each student, each day.
