From the Principal's Desk
As the school year comes to a close, the staff and I would like to thank you for your support and commitment to your children, their learning, and our school. As a school/community we have made collective strides, demonstrated by the achievement of the goals we set forth in the fall. We have an exceptional group of students attending Victor Falls Elementary.
As the weather gets warmer and warmer, some of our students forget they need to dress for success at school. It is a safety concern for our students to wear flip flops, therefore they are not allowed at school. I also remind the students daily if they wear a coat to school, they must wear a coat home from school.
We are very excited for our transition to school #9 for the 2009-10 school year. You've probably noticed the many boxes against the walls and rooms starting to look bare. We will be moved out of the current Victor Falls by June 26. Our current plan is to be in our new location near the end of August. It is going to be very important that we have your current and correct address as we will be sending you information regarding the upcoming school year during the summer months. If you are unsure whether we have your correct address, please send it in with your child and he and she can deliver it to the office.
So keep your eyes on your mailbox for valuable information over the summer regarding our new address, important dates, bus information and much more. If you do not receive it before August 24, feel free to call the office at 253-891-4700.
We thank you for allowing us the opportunity to work with your children this school year. Best wishes for a wonderful summer. We look forward to seeing you at our Open House September 3, 2009, or on the first day of school, September 8, 2009.
Sincerely,
Beth Dykman, Principal
