(Principal Update sent September 14, 2015, via school messages)

Greetings Falcon Families,

Victor Fall’s enrollment is bigger than ever. We need your help to keep the school and your children safe. EVERY child’s safety is important to us. It remains our highest priority to ensure that students enter and exit cars in a safe and organized way, so we are asking everyone to correctly follow our pick-up and drop-off procedures. Failure to do so creates chaos, frustration and unsafe conditions. Each family should discuss these loading and walking procedures.

Students who are picked up regularly (at least once a week) are assigned a “Pick Up Number.” Each family whose child is regularly picked up will receive two car tags which should be identical so that you can put these in two different vehicles.

Our goal is to be able to dismiss students as quickly as possible, yet ensure every child is safe and with the appropriate adult. Below is a review of the pick-up routine. We will be dismissing all students at 3:10 p.m. Every year you will receive a new number/color to ensure student safety.

new Highly Capable Program Referrals for Kindergarten Students
The period for referring Kindergarten students into the Highly Capable program is September 30 – October 15.  Complete the Kindergarten Referral Packet located on the District Website and return to your child's teacher no later than 1:00 p.m. on October 15, 2015.

Once a Kindergarten student has been identified as Highly Capable, they will begin to receive services January 2016.  Highly Capable Kindergarten students will be served at their home school in their current Kindergarten classroom.  Once a Kindergarten student enters into the Highly Capable program they will remain being served in a highly capable capacity for grades 1 and 2.  Beginning in grade 3, Highly Capable students will be served in an all-day program at a district-designated elementary school.  Transportation will be included.

Visit the District Website to learn more about Highly Capable Program opportunities that best support student growth and learning.
