FROM THE LIBRARY
Overdue Books
As we approach the end of the school year, please make sure your child promptly returns their overdue books to our MMS Library.  Overdue notices are available on Family Access.

Ask your child if they have received an overdue notice and if the book is at home.  Please help them locate it and return it to the library.  Students moving to the high school will need to pay their fines before going to the high school.  (If you have an outstanding fine, your yearbook will be held.)

Book Fair
Thank you to Susan Bibb and her team (Janice Richter,  Amy Robins,  Maura Cooney, Jodie Curry, Pamela Stolzenburg-Rodriguez, Tamara McDonald, Lisa Steudel, Krystene Smith, Sara Tierney, Laura Kinderknecht, Cheryl Thompson, and Carol Larson) who helped make our book fair a huge success. Profit from the book fair will go to support buying new books for the library.

Battle of the Books
Congratulations to the following teams and their members: Pixie Sticks with Mercedez Parsons, Sidney Ann Reichert, Jason Holler, and Makenna Adkins; I Forget with McKenna Wilson, Janelle Katzer, and Makenzie Campbell; and Purple Ponies with Celine Conkle, JaDeane Pavola, Riley Cooper, and Anne Campbell. These students' teams placed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd respectively in Sumner Middle's building Battle of the Books and will go on to compete against the top three teams from each of the district's middle schools on May 7th  at 6:30 pm at Sumner Middle School. Please congratulate them and cheer them on toward victory at the district Battle of the Books.

The process should take approximately twenty minutes. To apply as a volunteer, please complete the following steps:

  • Fill out the online application; please be sure to complete your profile and checklist.
