At Sumner High School we're committed to providing a quality education to our students. We take pride in serving a variety of student interests and needs. From our national award winning FFA program, to academic and co-curricular activities provided to students, our young adults take an active role in their education. Student needs are the number one consideration in the development of programs, courses.

Our special education inclusion model, our after school tutoring and credit recovery efforts and our Advanced Placement offerings are just a few examples of the broad array of academic opportunities offered to the students at Sumner High School. To assist our vocationally bound students in preparation for their 13th year, Bates Technical College offers 5 on-site programs. In addition, dual credit may be earned in a number of other programs. Our Senior Project model, Career Path Advisory System, Student Planning Portfolios and Sumner Inclusion Project are notable among area high schools.
