| Washington State Autumn Leaf Festival Parade-Trip - Leavenworth, Washington
Friday September 23–Saturday September 24, 2011
This is our first competitive event and our most important performance to-date this year. We have been to this parade before (in 1999, 2001, 2005, and 2007) and have had a great time and performed very well - I hope it will be the same this year. We are attending this event to give you the chance to perform and be evaluated as well as to hear and see other bands from around the Northwest. It should be a fun trip – Leavenworth is a beautiful area and there will be a lot of people in attendance at this big event.

- Bring with you:
MB-CG Uniforms in Garment Bags with strong hangars
A change of clothes for Saturday after the parade
Sleeping bag & pillow (and air mattress if you want)
Personal Gear for clean-up, etc.
Money for Meals/Snacks/Souvenirs (Friday Dinner & Saturday Lunch)
- Keep the buses clean and remember to take good care of your uniforms. We are guests at Cashmere HS and we make sure to clean-up things and treat things correctly. We stay in our assigned area and do not wander around. We are planning on sharing time and performing with the Cashmere HS Band on Saturday morning before we leave for the parade – have fun and play nice.
- If you have any questions, please ask Mrs. Carl or myself or the parent chaperones prior to doing something that might be the wrong thing – asking first is good.
- This is a big event and we want to do a great job. We expect excellent behavior at all times on this trip and we want you to have a great time. Be aware of all of the time-lines and don’t be late in returning to the buses. Make sure your uniform and instrument is cleaned-up and in inspection-ready shape. No jewelry, no hair down on collars, all of the specifics that are important in being inspected. Act with class and maturity at all times
- We do well because we play confidently, the routines are cleaned-up and tight, we watch our lines carefully and have excellent alignment, we are aware of the cadences and roll-offs, and we perform with enthusaism and energy. Thank you for your hard work so far this year and let’s have a grat time representing our Band Program and our School.
