Goal:
The Spartan Band Association is a group of parents with one objective-
to SUPPORT OUR STUDENTS. To do this we are heavily involved with
fundraising activities and generally helping with the band program
in any way we can. We fund trips, awards, Misc. Equipment, etc.
We also have established two SBA Scholarships in the amount of $500
each awarded annually.
Membership:
SBA membership is open to all parents of band and color guard students,
and to alumni parents. There are no membership dues- we only ask
you to invest your time and support.
Meetings:
We meet monthly, during the school year, on the third Sunday of
the month at 7pm in the SHS band room. Topics discussed usually
include budgets, fundraising activities, Band Leadership Council
reports (students), Band Directors report, and general information.
Activities:
We chaperone trips, assist in transportation coordination, transport
equipment, coordinate fundraising activities, and provide help in
any area as requested by the band director. We have lots of fun!
