Student – Led Conferences
Student conferences are scheduled for November 18, 19, and 25. Conference times are going fast! Please contact Mrs. McFarland in the guidance office at 253.891.5211 to schedule your child’s conference. Our goal is 100% participation! We look forward to seeing all parent(s) and guardian(s) at this year’s conferences.
Family Access
To make it easier for families to be involved in their child’s education, we provide a Web-based tool to view student information anytime by using Family Access. Families can view schedules, grades, attendance, fines, fees, lunch account balances and other student information. If you do not have your login and password, please contact Mrs. McFarland in the Counseling Office. All 6th grade families were mailed their Family Access information on October 23.
Holiday Resources
If you need assistance during the holiday season, please contact our counseling office for help. We can provide information about local community resources to provide support and help families. If you are in need of a Thanksgiving meal, please call Mrs. Lubash or Mrs. Jewett by November 9.
This year, the staff at MMS will be providing holiday meal packs to a limited number of families. If you would like to request a holiday meal for the Winter Break, please call our school by November 30 to make a request. Sumner Family Center and MMS staff members purchase stockings and gifts for a limited number of families.
If you or your student would like to donate gift cards, cash, food or gifts for our families, please contact the counseling office. We will be having an annual food drive from November 16 - December 4. The food will support our families, the Bonney Lake Food Bank and the Senior Center. All food will be accepted, but our main focus is canned food, mashed or scalloped potatoes, ham or chicken in a can, cereal, gravy and stuffing. Thank you so much for supporting our community.

From the Attendance Office
MMS students are expected to be at school every day and on time. It is extremely important that children establish positive educational values and patterns early in life. Being on time to school develops a pattern of promptness that translates into a successful lifetime skill. Research also shows students who attend school regularly have higher levels of academic success.
Please make a special effort to have your child arrive at school on time, everyday. Supervision begins at 7:15 am on the school campus, and students are expected to be in class by no later than 7:35 am.
Please try to inform the office of any messages before lunch times. The office will deliver messages during lunches and your student can call you in from the office.
Early Dismissals – If your student has an early dismissal for an appointment, please have them bring a note to the Attendance Office before school and they will receive a note to get out of class at the time requested. This helps us minimize disruptions to the classrooms.
New Homework Enhancement Info
Homework Enhancement will be held every Tuesday afternoon, from 2:30 -3:20 pm and every Wednesday morning from 7:30 – 8:30 am in the library. There will be no transportation for homework enhancement this year.
