Student Placement Requests 2008- 2009
We are approaching the time of year when we consider student placement for next school year. Consideration is based on teaching and learning styles; students’
academic, social and developmental needs; leadership; student combinations; any special needs that a student might have; and creating classrooms with balanced class
membership.
If you have additional information you want us to consider as we place your child in a classroom for next year, please submit a letter to Mrs. Bellmer stating your child’s
special needs. Placement requests for the 2008-09 school year must be received in the office by Friday, April 11, to be considered.

Spring Conferences
Teachers will soon be contacting families to schedule a time for spring conferences March 27 and 28. This is a great opportunity for families and teachers to meet
and discuss student's learning goals. Parents are offer able to offer valuable insights and information that can help enhance a child's overall success in school. To help create a productive conference, be sure to ask questions about your child's academic progress and social growth.

Spring Forward! Remember to turn your clock ahead one hour.
Daylight Saving Time (DST) begins March 9 – three weeks earlier than past years. On August 8, 2005, President George W. Bush signed the Energy Policy Act of 2005. This Act changed the time change dates for Daylight Saving Time in the U.S. DST will begin on the second Sunday in March and end the first Sunday in November. The
Secretary of Energy will report the impact of this change to Congress. Congress retains the right to resume the 2005 Daylight Saving Time schedule once the Department of Energy study is complete.
