Senior Yearbook
Recognition Ads:
Family, friends and community members:  do you want to recognize a Senior in the 2010 BLHS yearbook?  Include some pictures, write a message and let your senior know how proud you are of their accomplishments.  To create your Senior Ad visit www.myyear.com.  Once there you can select the size of the ad, upload pictures, write and proof read your message and make your payment.  Senior ads start at $40.  If you create an account you can also save your work and revisit the site when you have the time.  If you have any questions please contact Amanda Ross.

If the internet isn’t for you, the yearbook staff will create the ad for you.  Select an ad size, pick out some pictures, write a message and send the information and payment to the school.  Order forms will be distributed to seniors in their advisory class, but will also be available in the front office.  If you would like an order form e-mailed to you just contact Amanda Ross.

Medication at School:
State law and district policy govern the administration of medication to students at school.  Health technicians can only administer oral medications.  Before students may take prescriptions OR over the counter medicine there MUST be a signed/dated permission statement from the student’s physician AND parent.  All medication must be delivered by a parent or guardian in the original container and must be stored in the health room.

Under new laws of the state, the parent of any child who has a life threatening condition that may require medical services to be performed at school is required to present a medication or treatment order to the school.  Students with life threatening conditions will not be allowed to attend school without such an order.  Students with diabetes need to have an Individual Health Plan developed.  Please contact the Health Services Office at 253-891-6060.

Doing the Right Thing Awards:
In an effort to recognize students who “do the right thing,” staff members nominate students to be given a certificate from the principal and have their picture displayed on the “wall of fame” under our big panther in the commons.  Students receive this recognition for a variety of things they do for others, by returning something they found, by assisting others without being asked, and for being good citizens.  This year recipients to date are:
Ashley Dunn, Selina Reimann, Tyler Rogers.
