Newsletters and E-Mail
Future Bonney Lake newsletters will be electronic and green!
By going “green”, our school will save money in printing costs and be environmentally friendly at the same time. All we need is your e-mal address and we will do the work for you. Call our school office at 253-891-4450 to subscribe. If you are not able to receive an electronic version, we will send you a newsletter with your child.
From the Principal's Desk
Dear Viking Families:
The cool weather and beautiful leaves are signs that autumn has arrived. Remember to have your students dress warmly. As we move into November, here are some of the happenings at Bonney Lake Elementary.
Conferences
In addition to conferences October 27 – 30, and November 4, please know you are welcome to meet with teachers and specialists throughout the year to discuss your child's progress and needs. We look forward to working with you to help your child succeed.
Viking Readers Reach for the Stars!
Students did a fantastic job reading and turning in their calendars last month. For the month of September, students in grades 1-5 read 121,289 minutes. I enjoyed pizza lunches with several students whose names were drawn from the top readers. We thank PTO for helping us with this fun and important project. Remember to encourage your student to read each night and return their calendars on time. Also, be sure to take a minute to check classroom progress on the window across from the front office. At this rate, we may reach 1,000,000 minutes by the end of the year!
Learning Opportunities for Families Survey
At our school we highly value parents as partners in the education process. We are currently in the process of designing a variety of learning opportunities for families and would greatly appreciate your input. Please take a minute to complete and return the attached Learning Opportunity form.
PTO Harvest Festival – October 30, 2009 5:00 – 8:00 pm
