Dear Viking Families:
This has been a wonderful year at Bonney Lake. As we near the end of the school year here are just a few of the happenings:
Battle of the Books
Battle of the Books was a great success. Over 156 students participated in our school event. After intense competition, the Rocket Readers emerged as the Bonney Lake Team to go onto the district event where they tied for fourth place. The Rocket Readers are a group of third grade students from Mrs. Hartman's classroom. Congratulations to Emma Rothleutner, Alyssa Ferry, Madison Moore, and Isabel Petrick. We are proud of you!
Volunteer Breakfast - May 29 - 8:00 to 8:35 a.m.
We would like to invite all our wonderful volunteers to join us on May 29 from 8:00 to 8:35 a.m. for our volunteer breakfast. This is our way of thanking you for all the time, energy and support you have provided our school. We are so thankful to have so many adults give of their time to increase student learning. Hope to see you there!
PTO Carnival - MAY 30 - 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
This Saturday, PTO is hosting the Bonney Lake Elementary carnival. There will be many fun activities for families. PTO is looking for volunteers to help. If you are able to lend a hand for an hour or two, please sign up in the front office.
Field Days
We have two field days scheduled.
June 11 Grades K-2 1:00 - 2:45 p.m.
June 12 Grades 3-5 1:00 - 2:45 p.m.
Volunteers are needed for the June 12 Field Day. Please contact the office or
Mr. Shaw if you are interested in helping.
School BBQ
Friday, June 12, is scheduled for our School BBQ lunch. This is always a fun time for students to enjoy lunch with their families. The lunch includes BBQ chicken, potato salad, baked beans, grapes, oranges, carrots and a cookie. Serving time will be from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. You will eat with your child at their regular lunch time. Adult and sibling lunches are $3.75, BLE student lunch is $2.75. Please bring your money with you the day of the BBQ.
