Summer School

Elementary Summer Intervention
This program is designed to provide academic assistance to students entering grades 1-5. It is an opportunity to bridge the gap between June and September, helping students retain skills learned throughout the school year, as well as providing additional help with those areas your child may find most challenging. Teachers provide engaging activities focused on reading, writing and math in a relaxed, fun atmosphere. We look forward to working with your student as they endeavor to enhance these important academic skills.

Who should attend summer school?
Students who are not meeting standards in reading, writing and/or math should attend the summer school program. District standards for students can be found on the Sumner School District Web site at www.sumner.wednet.edu. This program is available to Sumner School District students only.

Arrival and Dismissal Procedure

At the end of class students will be escorted to the front doors and released to their parents or to board the bus. Please be prompt when picking up your child. Students participating in the summer lunch program will be accompanied to the cafeteria door.
