Happy Summer!
We hope you find this summer activity calendar a useful tool for staying active and involved with your child’s learning over the summer. Dates for Pierce County Library programs, City of Sumner, and City of Bonney Lake community events have been added to the calendar as well.
Reading with your child 20 minutes and spending just 5 minutes playing with a purpose together helps your child gain the skills for success in kindergarten. These simple daily interactions build strong minds and strong relationships.
Feel free to change or adapt these activities to fit your family. It may not be convenient to do each activity on the day it is mentioned. You can just do another activity or do it at a later time. What is most important is to enjoy spending time together – read together, write together, exercise together, share healthy meals together, play together and laugh together!
School offices re-open on August22. The Web site is a great source of information for families.
Have a great summer and we’ll see you in the fall!!
