- 5-7 minute presentation focusing on the experience and development of the Culminating Portfolio rather than on a project

- Scoring: Students will be scored on presentation content elements (does it address the three questions above) and effective communicator skills. An audio and/or visual aids to enhance communication is required.

Portfolio Presentations. Seniors will present to a minimum of 2 judges in an advisory classroom setting May 16 or May 17. Presentation deliberations will conclude by 3:00; transportation will not be provided. Non-presenting Seniors will be dismissed at 1:10 p.m.

June boards: Make up portfolio check and presentations. Students successfully completing June boards will be eligible for a diploma but will not participate in graduation. |
Culminating Portfolio: Class of 2012
Current Washington State high school graduation requirements involve four steps: Credit Requirements, State Assessment Standards, Culminating Project, and a High School and Beyond Plan. Sumner School District's model for High School and Beyond Plan and Culminating Portfolio is in compliance with state requirements for graduation.
