Victor Falls Elementary School

A school modernization project to update and modernize major mechanical systems, improve wiring and technology infrastructure to support computers in the classroom and bring building up to all current energy, seismic, fire and life safety building codes.

  • Tentative Modernization Start May 2009
  • Tentative Project Completion July 2010

Design sketches and a floor plan of the modernization project show mprovements to pedestrian walks, car lanes and additional parking are illustrated on the site plan, along with improvements to bus lanes and student pick-up areas. The project also includes replacing the existing flat roof with a pitched roof, upgrading old windows to energy efficient windows and improving building security with fewer exterior classroom doors.

Boundary Revision
Students will attend Elementary #9 during the 2009-2010 school year while modernization is underway at Victor Falls. A revision in attendance boundaries for students in the Falling Water neighborhood is part of the staging plan for this construction project.

School modernization is not just a cosmetic fix.
This project will extend the useful life of this facility for years to come.
