Replacement Educational Programs, Maintenance and Operation Levy

February 9, 2010 Special Election

It is important to remember this levy is
not a new tax; it simply
replaces the current levy measure approved by voters in 2006 that expires this year.

The proposed Levy provides 20% of the general fund budget, including mandated programs not funded by the state and helps the District meet the educational needs of all students.

Levy dollars fund day-to-day expenses,
not “extras.”

Exemptions from taxes may be available to homeowners who are 61 or older, or disabled, and who meet certain income requirements. For more information, call the Pierce County Assessor 253.798.2169.

This is an all vote by mail election, and
no polling places will be open.
